Murray Miller joined Historic Boston Inc. as the new historic preservation lead on July 20. Bringing 30 years of experience in three countries, Miller is expected to steer HBI's efforts in preserving Boston's historic character. An inclusive preservation must be sustainable with as few environmental damages as possible and should involve community participation; Murray Miller wants to make preservation less elitist and more representative of all voices. This broad international exchange has nurtured his view of heritage and urban development processes, thus positioning him to nurture an equitable future for historic neighborhoods in Boston. His leadership takes a giant step in protecting history in harmony with the current generation and those to come.
